Thanks! Of course, we need it to work with whatever version of IE or any other browser that is commonly used since we can't control what our donors will be using.

Just can't figure out why everything was working so well and now it is broke. We do have tickets out on it with Blackbaud, but thought maybe someone else had had a similar problem.

yes, I can, but thus far we have found that it works fine on all browsers other than the ones installed in our office. it even works on a version of internet explorer 8 on our IT analysts computer and in our conference room, but not on our pcs! The version of BBNC would be the latest - its so new to us we are still in test. But, we have had no problems accessing the pages from anywhere - including at home - just here.

Perhaps the issue is with your computers, if it's working fine on IE8 on other computers? I had an issue like this once that we traced to a browser cache error, nothing to do with BBNC.

Thank you Amy! This sounds like the most possible solution yet, as it seems to fit the scenario and is something we haven't looked at. Do you remember exactly what it was that you tweaked?

I also should have mentioned - we found that if we went into security settings and disabled active scripts the pages will load, the forms will even load, but then, of course, the forms don't work correctly because the scripting is disabled. Checking the option to "prompt" for scripting and allowing it when the prompt comes up just freezes it and we have to kill the program to get out of it.

I wish I could remember! It was a few years ago. I remember having to repeatedly hit refresh to get the pages to read correctly while we were building the site (fun!). And it only affected computers that were looking at the site regularly. Just before launch our network engineer switched us to a more powerful server and that solved the problem. I don't know how it solved it. Perhaps the issue was bandwidth, and to preserve performance the cache was being overused (just guessing here).

If you host your site locally, have you checked to see if there's anything that can be improved on the server end? Any SQL Server 2008 settings, for example? (I've no idea what, I'm not a network engineer, but it could be a factor).

Thanks so much again for the input Amy. Our IT analyst here is checking into that possibility. In the meantime, we are open to more ideas!
