new to 7.92 . . . What happened to quick find? I used to be able to search Smit, Mi (for Michael Smith). Now it is only last name and won't even pre-populate the search screen with the first name letters I was looking for. Say it ain't so. . .

Oh it's so all right. Something about the smart search in 7.92 made it so that quick find no longer populates the first name field.

I am not as worried about the prepopulating.

So we can no longer use first name with last in quick search? It is either one or the other but not both? Does not make for a quick search with Smith or Anderson.

Seems to be a "feature" of the new RE.

What I have noticed is that if it's a unique first name/last name then quick find works correctly. It's only when the two do not make a unique match that the regular search opens up and everything sucks.

My office is up in arms about this. Fortunately I used IDs more than names

This was announced on the Blackbaud forums as a bug - to be fixed in the next release.
