I haven't seen anything posted on the Raiser's Edge product REi. We are being pitched this as the new, more advance RE system that is also more affordable. Is this product on the market yet or are we being sold on something that does not exist?

Can anyone discuss the usefulness of "the giving score?"

Can anyone speak to converting from Donor Perfect Online to REi and how that went/compares?

I am not 100% sure but I think this is just the marketing name for Raiser's Edge hosted. Does that sound like what they were offering?

If so, there are huge differences between hosted RE and non-hosted and some are happy with it and others are quite dissatisfied.

Now this is very strange. In the full list of BB products only REi is listed and not RE7. Yikes!

From what I understood, Blackbaud are still selling RE as a host yourself solution but the first thing they try to sell you and market is the hosted version.

"Most new deployments are sold under Raiser's Edge(i) package these days. It bundles RE7, Blackbaud NetCommunity Spark, and Blackbaud Application Hosting together. You can still purchase RE7 standalone if desired but this is the dominate sales approach these days. "

Not even listing it as an option as a product on the website??? I think that is a sad reality that they haven't given up on the hope that we all will be hosted someday. OMG.

a little late to the party here, but...

REi also includes a number of standard modules. I can't remember offhand what is included, but I believe it involves RE:Search (Prospect), Events and Tributes (but I could be wrong on these).

It's basically their packaged solution as has been mentioned. You can host it yourself, but you will usually pay a split hosting fee as BBNC Spark will be on their hosting still.
