If someone buys a 10 top table:
Registration fee = Table
Registration units = 1 (or however many TABLES they bought)
to keep SEATS tracked and therefore the ACTUAL number of PEOPLE attending we add the following:
GUESTS to the TABLE purchaser
Guest Last name = Smith Table
Guest First Name = Placeholders
# guests = 10
To get the guest # greater than 1 you MUST uncheck the box that says "create a participant record" for this guest.
This does get a little tricky as you find the "actual" person who wil be sitting at the table then you add then as a guest & as a particpant, you then need to reduce your placeholders by 1 each time you find the real person.
The event module has a seating chart functionality which can be found on the general tab of the event in the lower right hand corner named "seating" clicking on that box will allow you to set up your seating arrangements. You can add the number of tables you have, (even name them) and then drag & drop participants into their respective seats.
Income reports for events can be run from the canned reports, but if you want a more complete report then Crystal is the way to go. I'm got a couple of attendee reports incase anyone wants to use them, just send me an email and I'll forward a copy of the Crystal report your way.
