One of the things we've seen the most improvement in is exporting constituent data based on an Action query. In RE what we do can take tens of hours, and impact performance for other users. I wrote some SQL for it, which does it in a few seconds, and no-one notices a thing (this is for exporting data).

I also have some figures compile each night, because once data changes you can't report on those figures ever again (without restoring a backup from the night you want to report on). These compilation processes only take a few seconds to run.]]> API & VBA Fri, 17 May 2013 13:23:03 +0000
