Greetings, all! Long-time RE user, first-time poster here. Glad to be on the "bus"!
I've been out of the RE game for about three years now, but our operation has just gone live on RE Enterprise. In our old system, people could specify their home address as their preferred mailing address and their business phone as their preferred phone. Of course with RE, you only get one preferred address to work with. So - just to make sure - for the folks that have these contact preferences, we should add their business phone number to their home (preferred) address record, correct? Or has someone out there devised a crafty workaround for this?
Thanks for the help! I'm sure I'll be around quite a bit!
Welcome to the Bus! Hope you have an enjoyable ride!
We put all phone types on Bio1 so they will show on various reports, seems to work for us.
Barbara

So Barbara, when you print out a constituent directory and for example,
need to show the Home information in one column and the Business
information in the second column, how do the phones work for you?

Hi Gina! As long as the Business phone is on the Business tab it will show in the first and second columns of a directory list, if that's how you're setting up the specs for the report. Steelrhino1's question was where to put the *preferred* phone, and if that phone number happens to be a business number, I think it should reside on Bio1, which is where the *preferred* address resides.
