If the people are not already in Raiser's Edge, you can add them via a new constituent batch in the Batch module. Unfortunately, Event registration is not available in batch, so you'll have to create the constituent records before you can add them to the event.

Once you've added them, you'll need to create a query that groups all the constituents who need to be added to the event.

Use this query to do a global add from the Admin module. You'll want to Globally Add Registrants to an Event.

You will need to have setup the event record prior to doing the global add.

Actually they do not have to be in RE to be added as a participant record. You can import participants directly to the event module (that is one other option we did not mention). Unless you link them to an existing constituent they will just be a participant with no constituent record.

I prefer that they all be constituents and added as Matthew mentioned but that is our institutional preference - not a limitation of the software.
