I am in the process of entering our United Way pledges and want to include employment info. We keep married couples together on the same record (wife is always entered in Spouse tab). If it's the wife who gave to United Way - I can only include her employment info on the business button on the spouse tab. It can't be seen unless you click through the spouse button then business button (it's alot of naviagation for some users). The husband's employer is clearly seen on the relationship tab. Does anyone have a good idea to enter the wife's employer information and be able to see it easily? I hope I'm making sense.....
The reason it doesn't make sense to you, is that you are thinking of the record as belonging to the couple when it actually belongs to the husband the way you have it set up. The wife's employment information is not on the relationship tab, because it is not information about the husband. You wouldn't want to see the father's employment information, or the mother's, or the son's, or the daughter's on the constituent's relationship tab. The wife's isn't appearing for the same reason, it just doesn't belong there.

I agree with you in so many ways Drew. Database structure is important and you do not want to veer too far from the record belonging to just one person. However, spouses relationships will always be more elevated than other familial relationships.
I think the problem is that in other places such as the address tab you do get to see spouses addresses (but not mom & dad's). Maybe what is needed is more like the address tab where with the click of a checkbox you get a split screen to see the relationships the spouse has.
We are on version 7.83 and I can filter/choose to see the spouse employment information on the Relationship tab by unchecking the box that states "hide spouse relationships" within the Filters button.

Does that work similar to the show/hide spouse address option in the Address module?

It does not work the same way addresses does - it puts them directly into the list but your legend determins what they look like. Mine have the suffix -SPSE and is the same color as the spouse so I can tell it is a relationship of the spouse. I would prefer to see them at the bottom like in address. Maybe that should be what we add to the ideas list.
