Does anyone know if Blackbaud has any plans to certify Raiser's Edge to be compliant with PCI standards? We are starting the process of becoming PCI compliant here at the Jewish Community Federation (San Francisco), but since Raiser's Edge is not compliant, it is a rather large stumbling block to our efforts.
(For example, there is currently no way to enforce strong passwords in RE, which along with encrypting credit card information, is a key component of PCI compliance.)
Has anyone been in touch with Blackbaud about this, or know of any future upgrades/releases that may prove useful?
For your information, here is a link to the most recent PCI standards:
I attended a Blackbaud User Group a couple of weeks and they confirmed that PCI Compliance will be included in version 7.85 which should be released in the last quarter of 2008. They said that they will be frequently updating this area of the software to keep it up to date with any changes that do happen.
