When exporting preferred phone numbers (ie Home, Email) > criteria > 2 phone types > selected types> Home and Email > Order by > phone type -- it doesn't work! Used to!! Any ideas?

I'm not on 7.81, so I don't know if this procedure woll correct the problem or not, but it is worth a try. I use this all the time when exporting multiple phone numbers so the phone numbers end up in the correct columns I export phone numebr and phone type, and select only Home as the type; then place the cursor on the Address heading in the right side of your export, and choose from the left side Phone Number and phone type again. This time choose only email as the type. Continue doing thios until you have all the phone types you want. You should see in the right pane something that looks like this:
Address
Address Line 1
City
State
Zip
Phones
Phone type
Phone number
Phones 2
Phone type
Phone number

etc. until you have all the phone types you want.

Let me know if this doesn't work in 7.81 because this is something I use all the time.

Oops, I lost all the formatting. Address is the main category, with Phones coming under it, and Phones 2 also coming under it . Hope this makes sense.

That is an absolutely invaluable tip. Once I learned this my exports have never been the same. I now never export more than 1 address or 1 phone at a time.

Do you mean you never export more than 1 address or 1 phone at a time in the Field or in the entire export?

Our order by hasn't worked in quite a while (we're not on 7.81 yet) so I've been using Jo's format for a very longtime.

in each individual field. I bring over phone multiple times and limit it to 1 instance and 1 selected type each time. This way each type is in the same column.

This also works with other criteria selections. Canvasser Type is one that I've used successfully and is an immense time saver. More Rep Power to you Jo
