So I installed 7.81 on my test server today, and lo and behold! Auction MaestroPro integration is enabled by default!
ALL new features should be DISABLED by default until I have had a chance to evaluate and determine if they are something I want my users to have access to.

I hate when they do that. They've done that for so many things and I complain every time. The last time this happened was with the Data Health Center. UGH.
I've complained with every patch that I install that it does this... I've actually had old security settings be over written by an patch before, which really ticks me off... Especially when people have gone in and screwed something up that I now have to go fix (usually for the 4th or 5th time).
I hope you're reading this one BB, because this is twice you've ticked me off today...

Yup! - we got upgraded over the weekend and I'm still trying get a few things back to normal. Part of the upgrade is GREAT - Yea! - they fixed the problem with applying larger amounts to pledge balances - that actually works again!
However, have I missed a few things? I didn't catch either of these issues in the news that came with the upgrade, but these problems are making me crazy(er): I get this obnoxious little beep with the save windows and can't seem to figure out how to turn it off! Also, I cannot make my cheap HP Deskjet use the fast draft option - it's only doing high-end printing from RE and my cartridges are going away really quickly! Anyone else having these problems?

This is one thing that I wish BB would fix. RE will only print from the default printing using the default settings. If you want to change these, you need to change your defaults.
If you mostly print drafts, you can change this on your printer. Your settings will vary depending on the exact printer and your OS. Your printer should have either "Printing Preferences" or "Default Document Properties" or something similar on its Printer menu. You should be able to set the defaults to draft.
Of course, this doesn't help you when you do want to print to something other than draft. If you find you are switching back and forth fairly often, it may be simpler to set up a "printer" for each set of default settings that you want to use. While it's not the best solution, it does work, especially if you are changing multiple settings each time.

I have changed Everything I can think of to get it into draft mode from RE. I am using draft mode from Word and have the printer set up for it; and, even when I re-check the mode from RE prior to running reports (and the printer is initially set for draft mode), RE still prints in the higher quality. So, this seems to be a different issue with this release. It used to work correctly. Any other suggestions? -- all help is appreciated!

First of all - to those of you who have acted as our canaries in the mine - THANKS! Every RE upgrade is always a chance for nervous excitement. However overall BB is a responsible vendor with its upgrades and patches.
During our recent event season - our on line vendor Convio did a system wide upgrade without notifying us that disabled our ability to accept online donations - at that time there was about $75K a day coming in. It took them a week to fix it. Oh I should also mention our temporary data entry team of 10 that sat idle while we paid them as Convio attempted to fix the problem.
So I'm always thankful to the folks at BB that I can install the upgrade and patch when I am ready and after I've done my due diligence. Its software - it will never be perfect.
With this upgrade it seems BB is laying the foundation that will move to the .NET platform for all products that was discussed in Charleston last October. It is a huge undertaking to begin the transition of a production software foundation that so many products tie into- gota appreciate their courage and commitment to the product for the long haul!
Ok I don't know where else to put it except here...so we finally upgraded our current database to 7.81 and bought a second one that is also 7.81...my question here is if all new features are included where in God's green earth is CR ten?...I looked in the database...you know you might have to download it...and then I opened CR 8.5 thinkin maybe it would update itself....no...not so much...So short of screaming bloody murder...any clues...anyone?
of course if no one has the answer I will have to resort to calling BB...
