I'm on the hunt for a Software that would help our grant manager to track and coordinate the grant's we are applying to. In my searches I've found a few, most notably GrantWave and RE:Search. Does anyone have experience with both and can you compare the usability of RE:Search to GrantWave? (Or other better solutions)

We are a medium sized non-profit lobby in DC and have Rasiers Edge as well as Researchers Edge and Financial Edge, so we get along with Blackbaud, however being the resident IT guy I'm reluctant to tack on another Blackbaud module to Rasiers Edge.

We are looking for a similar software, except we want to track the grants we give (we're a non-profit that disburses funds through a grants process). We're also in DC and use RE. Would love to hear your thoughts on what you've found!

We use "proposals" in the prospect module. Mind you, I'm not familiar with the other packages you mentioned, but we're able to track multiple proposals, what we asked for (or need to ask for), who's responsible for the proposal itself, various deadlines and actions taken including LOI's, any discussions with program officers, whether the grant was funded and why or why not. And the other catagories on the Prospect tab can be used to track what a foundation's issue areas are and what other grants they've given.

As much as I hate the Events module (and boy, do I hate the bloody Events module) I love the Prospect module. Money well spent.
