Calling all NetMember gurus...

We are new to NetMember and I'm still doing setup. I discovered yesterday when trying to create the online membership confirmation message that Corporate address tags were not available (as mentioned in the manual).

When I called Blackbaud I was told Corporate donations were not possible in either NetMember or NetEvent. It has been filed as a suggestion, the support rep said. Corporate donations ARE possible in NetDonor (which we have been using), and why it never occurred to any of us to ask if it would be an issue.

If anyone else has allowed Corporate memberships to be purchased online, could you share with me how you worked around the problem?

I have two ideas.

1. To create one NetDonors page (instead of NetMembers) for Corporate membership and to set the giving level descriptions to reflect the name of the corporate category levels (Bronze, Silver, Gold, etc.).

2. To create multiple NetDonors pages and just enter one giving level based on the particular category. Having multiple pages would allow more room to list benefits for that category.

Next, download the batch, link it to a membership. I know NetDonors won't process the membership ID, etc. I'll have to take care of that separately.


Do either of these sound plausible? Do you have any other ideas, suggestions?
