I'm just curious if anyone out here is using PaperSave? I had a demo today and liked what I saw but the cost is staggering, especially given the relatively small amount of paper we handle here. However, I'd like to hear your thoughts if you're using it or just considering it. Thanks

Hi,

We've just started using it. The biggest issue is that now that it's installed on two workstations those workstations are getting normal.dot issues whenever using REMail and interfacing with Word. Sooo frustrating.

Customer Support is working on figuring it out, but gifts processing staff is very frustrated with the endless cycle of error messages related to normal.dot.

I've got some troubleshooting to do in terms of the "Scan Later" feature not always working as we think it should, but I suspect my issues are due to not being familiar with new software.

Happy to tell you more once we're really up and running with it...

I am getting that same normal.dot error and do not have papersave. It is happening when creating labels through export simple mail merge. I think it is an issue with the RE version not PaperSave.

We were getting the normal.dot issue on a number workstations (that didn't have PaperSave installed), but after I removed PDF Complete, that eliminated the problem.

Now the only workstations with the normal.dot issue are the ones with PaperSave. When I uninstall PaperSave, the normal.dot issue disappears. When I reinstall it, the issue returns.

Blackbaud Customer Support has now set up a test environment to troubleshoot. They had another client with the same issue and the "solution" was to unistall PaperSave!

The Customer Support guy I've been working with obviously knew that unistalling the software isn't a "solution" and is working hard to figure out the issue. At least I've got a good one in support!

We've encountered the normal.dot issue here with merges too. We don't have
PaperSave., but do use PDF Complete. Thanks for solving our problem in a
completely unrelated thread! Yay!

We are using it for all of our gifts. We had some serious problems when we began but the PaperSave support people worked on it and with us and got everything working OK. They are very good. We are quite happy with PaperSave and will start rolling it out to other users.

Even if you don't have a lot of paper, having all of your documents, e-mails, correspondence et al in one place and literally at your fingertips is worth it.

We are having the same problem, but it only affects those logged in as Supervisors.
