Moving queries into categories?

Hi Guys

Just upgraded to 7.85 and finally we have folders for the queries

But unless I'm going blind there doesnt seem to be an easy way to move existing queries in bulk to folders? I'm hoping I have just missed it and someone can point me in the right direction as I dont really fancy going through all the queries and manually altering the properties.

nope you have to manually edit the Query Options for each one.

so close... and yet so far.

NO FLIPPING WAY!!!!

Now I have no compelling reason at all to upgrade. You have got to be kidding me.

We should add it to the Ideas section and get all the votes we can for it.

yes we can do that.. but it's also one of those things we just want an answer to.. Why, in taking the time to add this new functionality that we've been requesting for so long, did you not implement it fully? did anyone do usability testing on this? I'm sure it would have come up.

I'm STILL waiting for answer as to why they limited the size of the Org name field to 60 characters and why it can't be EASILY CHANGED??

The Ideas section is broken. For some reason we can't approve new
submissions. It likely won't be fixed.

400 odd queries... well this sucks! Would have been the 1st thing majority of people would have picked up on if user testing was done.

Shame I'm over here in NZ so no conference for me.

LOL i just installed this on the test server and was excited to play with this feature. How hard could it be really to impliment a multiple move feature, there is a multiple delete feature. Oh well, they tease you with feauture improvements, but shatter your dreams. Did no one over at BlackBaud think that we would want to move multiple queries? This would be my second thought if i were designing this feature, the first thought would be to first be able to resize the query window panes like any normal program should be able to do . But that is another thread.

I am actually quite surprised and diasppointed. The reason we were complaining about not having folders was that the number of queries we sometimes keep is quite large. Why would they not implement a feature that we can move our large number of queries into easily. HELLOOOO????

Moving queries into categories?

I was part of the beta for 7.85 and I pointed it out immediately.

Good to know they listen to the testers especially on a very major feature .

i've often wondered how much usability testing is really a combination of bug testing and marketing vs a true source of data that actually significantly impacts design decisions.

Easy now... I got into the beta very late in the game for 7.85. I was asked
to run it as usual to look for errors, not to evaluate the functionality.

[snork]

Then again, one company where I worked put a major core business system live despite the fact that none of the testers from our site signed it off, because it didn't do what we needed to keep our customers. Made me feel nicely empowered ... or possibly like I was living in a Dilbert cartoon.
