This should actually be in the Query Section - can someone move us there?

Esoria, what exactly do you mean by maintenance queries? What are you trying to group together?

I'm not really trying to group things together. I'm looking for some kind of auditing queries that will help me maintain the integrity of the database. I hope that made sense.

Okay, gotcha.

Melissa Graves has a great list of those types of Queries. Melissa, are you there?

Policies and Procedures Manual

You typically start with common errors (missing info) or mistakes that
violate any policies and procedures you have documented.

Create a list of fields that if they were blank would be an issue
title
primary addressee
primary salutation
constituent code
etc.

Create a list of combinations you do not want:
blank addresses without the has no valid address box checked
send mail unchecked on all addresses and has no valid address
not checked
foundation constituent code without a foundation type attribute
(that is one of our policies)

Create a list of other common things you want to keep track of
Gifts marked not acknowledged and date before this week
Actions not marked completed with no auto notify

Create a list of other common errors based on your policies.
Gifts in wrong campaign
Gifts in wrong appeal

Each and every one of these and more can be an AUDIT query.

Check the archives - I know I and others have posted on this before.

Thanks a bunch Melissa and Ann Marie...
These are great suggestions. How do I access the archives?

Actually I shouldn't call them "the archives" - just hit search when in
the forum and search old postings.

Later this year I was planning on creating a list of just such queries - thanks for asking the question - and for the great answers!!

Great question, and thanks especially to Melissa for the informative post. We're going into workgroups soon for our Benefactor-to-RE conversion, and I was already starting to think about how we in Advancement Services can audit the more decentralized access to data and in some cases data entry.

Really appreciate the thread.
