Rep Power: 3 | Have you tried, rather than choosing simple word merge as the export format, choosing character-separated values?
That will give you a text file, usually comma-delimited with quotes as the text qualifier and a carriage return as the record delimiter. I regularly run exports with nearly 200 fields in them and have never had a problem. We used to have a constituent profile made up in Word that had about 55 fields, and it also didn't choke, either in Word or in RE.
What I'm saying, I guess, is have you tried not using the letters function of RE, but rather just using the export to create a data file, that you can then use as a mailmerge data source in Word outside of RE? |
