Hello fellow riders...
I'm having a really big "duh" moment...
These are the steps I'm taking
Query: Preferred Zip - one of: 06001; 06032; 06070; 06107; 06106; 06117
Export: preferred Zip query; and then I pick: name; phone; age; zip (just to make sure)
but I only get 9 people in the query and then 11 people in the export, we are a national org I know there are more than nine people that are members in that zip, what step am I missing? - I took out deceased; no valid address and what ever the third choice is...
URGH!!!
Thanks

I knew that...sort of...but there is no way to pick the extra 4 - like preferred zip + 4...or is there another way? I tried 06001-**** but that didn't work. I tried 06001- and that didn't work....
any ideas?

Use a range like 060010000-060019999
I don't think you need to put in the dash between the 5 and extra 4 digits.
Hope this helps for you!!

Melissa, I did that 06001
or 06032...no such luck...
Barbara I am going to try your solution next...on a sidenote...it seems that every email that you send - and it seems that it is just you - to the forum it goes into my spam....very strange!
Thanks for all of your help, Barbara, Melissa and Drew....if Barbara's step doesn't work...onto BB Customer service....someone has to know a short cut...or something.

You are not dense. I was just making sure - there are so many ways to query and it is hard to think of the best way to get exactly what you want. My brain is fried this week so if it were me trying a new query I would be equally as slow.
I can not wait to get on the plane tomorrow and let my brain relax. I hate when they schedule this conference in November - so many deadlines and they become fixed around this conference. I have worked until 8:30 p.m. the past 2 nights! zzzzzz

For some reason mail servers do not like the "name" n1ugu, and lots of them put it into the spam folder. If you put my email into your safe-list it should put it into your inbox from now on. If it doesn't, maybe your IT department (that is assuming you have one!!!) can put it into their safe-list on their server.
I'll keep you company next week Kitri!!!

I just ran a query about a week ago for all records with a Preferred Zip using a ONE OF filter. I just reran it using 9 BEGINS WITH filters instead, and the record count went from 448 to 589.... I am SO glad that the office I ran this for is 1 1/2 hours away, because they checked that whole list by hand and then thought they were done.......
It's a good thing that is a small office with only 589 records......
Anyway, have big fun at the conference everybody - maybe I will see you next year......

I found no problem using wildcards in a query. I used Criteria = Preferred postal codes equals 1*
There are certain cases where BB will translate an equal expression into a LIKE expression, however this does not work with a "one of" expression, which is what the original person was asking about.
