Might not be the right place for this question....

We're looking to talk to local (Chicago area) users/orgs that have integrations running between RE and other non-RE databases, primarily ticketing and scheduling. At this point, we don't want to talk to consultants - just want to hear the end users opinion/experiences.

Did you ever get a reply of anybody who was able to integrate Raisers Edge and Vista and/or Retail Pro?

Nope - in terms of any functional integration. We did talk to another local who is doing what I do - manually manipulating extracted files in either direction (RE to Vista; Vista to RE) and then shoe-horning the data where it needs to go.
