OK, Schoolies... who amongst you use Blackboard products? what do you think about them and the company? How do the products, support, pricing, etc. compare with Blackbaud?

The Bbaud products that would be comparable to Bboard are Faculty Access for the Web and NetClassroom. Bboard smokes Bbaud in this realm. Several years ago I took some distance classes using the Bboard and it has all kinds of functionality that the Bbaud products doesn't have in their online school tools.
That said, BBoard doesn't have accounting or fundraising software. They're really different in what kind of products they offer. I bet there are tons of schools and colleges that use both products.
And, I walk by the Bboard HQ everyday on my way to the office...

i'm sorry if i wasn't clear... i didn't really mean to compare the software on a basis of it performing the same tasks.. I meant, I s'pose, is the investment...in time, in training, in money, in ongoing etc. similar, completely different...
