Mailing Reports from Dashboard

Greetings!
I am curious if anyone is experiencing difficulties emailing a report from the Dashboard. My email is all Japanese or Chinese - I can't really tell the difference. I notified Blackbaud 2 weeks ago and nothing has been done. This feature is the whole reason why we got this system - our current Great Plains doesn't offer this feature - our execs want up to the minute figures -hence - easy access and emails - but alas none of them speak Japanese or Chinese!

Let me know if this happens to you or its an isolated incidence. Are you all using Office 2007 - that is the reasoning they give me - but hey that office 2007 has been out for 8 months so come on....

I checked it out and it is working the same way in my dashboards. Here is the BB solution related to it. It seems to be an open case. We actually copy to clipboard and paste into excel and then send that.

Solution Title: Dashboard emails appear in Chinese when sending an email from Dashboard
We are currently evaluating this issue. We will update this solution when it is resolved. To be notified, create a case.
Alternative solution:
Copy and paste the Dashboard into a Word document and send the Word document attached to an email.

Oh, that's just BB's salute to the Olympics.

What version of RE are you using? The older versions of RE are not compatible with Office 2007. But if you are on a newer version of RE, then ............ it's just one of those fun monkey wrenches RE throws in there from time to time!

Using the latest version!

Yep I am using 7.85 - latest version - and I am sure "if" they decide to fix it - we will all get an update - I just wonder what it takes for them to fix it and why they would not test it before sending it...um...seems a pretty important function to me and its been two weeks approaching three and so I am wondering what is norm for turn around - I have seen some things take months - I wonder what it takes to "evaluate" something as important enough to fix - Thanks though for "feeling" my pain - it really does help!!!

Oh, you're welcome - it can be quite painful sometime! As for when they will choose to fix something.........well it's a crap shoot. Hopefully enough folks will complain about it and they'll just get tired of the complaints.

I do not use that feature myself, but I did have to chuckle when I read your post - Chinese??? No offence to anyone who speaks or uses Chinese in RE, but come on! That has to be one of their better gaffes. And not finding out about it before they released 7.85???
