I'm hoping that someone here can help clarify something - we've been asked to install MapPoint 2006 when we install Researcher's Edge. If MapPoint is installed on the workstation, will "Mapping" be available from within both programs? Also, the documentation says it's a "single user license", is this like Crystal Reports where it can be installed on multiple workstations but only 1 person can be using it (creating/editing a report) at a time?
Thanks!!

Hi Pat,
I can address the *single user license*, you can only install it on one workstation, not on several workstations and certainly not on a server. It's not like the Crystal License, it's truly only a one per install. I have it installed on a Researcher's workstation, I can ask her tomorrow if MapPoint is also available via RE.
Hope this helped.

Hi Pat,
I just confirmed with our Researcher's Edge (TRE) user that MapPoint is only available via TRE. If the person is not a part of the TRE database you have to import the person from RE to TRE, then create the map.
Hope this clarifies it a bit for you.
