Hi,
Is anyone running RE 7.83 (or RE 7.8x) on SQL 2005 set to compatibility mode 80 (SQL 200 compatibility)? We're looking to upgrade RE to 7.83 this summer but we also have SQL 2000 servers that we need to replace with SQL 2005. My test db is currently 7.83 but the test server also houses other test db's that may not yet be fully 2005 compatible. So I'm wondering if we have to set our test server to SQL 2005 compatibility mode 80, will my test RE work?
Thanks in advance,
Pat

RE will work... I had mine set that way when I first started moving the databases over...
I don't know if your other software will work, but I know I changed the compatibility to 90 AFTER we were already using RE in our production (yeah, not the brightest of ideas, but at the time, my test server was being rebuilt....)

You dont have to set your entire install 2005 server install to sql 2000 mode. This is set on a per database level, so you can have some databases running full 2005 mode and others running backward compatibility mode all in the same install. And yes, as Doug said, 7.8x works fine in backward compatible mode.
