Mapping function in RE7

Has anyone ever used the Mapping feature within RE7 and found the legend, route and territory buttons don’t function after you show the map. If you click on your desktop, then back to the map and then do control G you can get the left hand window pane to show up. Also, does anyone know if the upgrade will fix this problem?
