I debated whether to put this question here or in the development category.
Can anyone tell me how to put the two dots over the o in the following person's name? I don't remember what it's called. This would be in Word, not RE, though the letter is in RE, so it is RE related (a bit of a stretch).

Thanks.
Does Alt 148 work?

Thanks.
It is called a diaeresis. Hold the alt key and, using the numeric key pad, enter 0246 for the little ö or enter 0214 for the capital Ö.

Since I am in the mood to be over-helpful, and as I was searching for accented characters myself today, here is a list of BB accents and symbols should anyone need them:
Just hit alt and the number at the same time. They also work in word, I believe, at least the alt 148 did.

Solution Number: BB55945
Applicable Product(s): Raiser's Edge 7
Solution Title: How to add an accent mark to a character in Raiser's Edge 7
Following is a list of special combination keys you can use to create letters or characters with accents in The Raiser's Edge 7. You can create the following characters by holding the ALT key and entering the corresponding numbers using the number keypad. Do not use the number row above the letter keys.
To find codes similar to the ones below, use the Character Map, which contains a different set of codes for the characters, but you can use it in the same way. Note: Most fields in The Raiser's Edge support only those special characters included in the Character Map. However, Rich Text Format (RTF) fields, such as notepads, also support special characters not included in the Character Map.
Take my thanks too! for the cheat sheet and the easy access through the start menu. I had my special accented letters saved in a word document that I used to open and then copy into RE. I finally found the Atl shortcuts for my special 'e's but hadn't had time to search the rest.
