Question! I'm needing to insert an appeal description into one of my gift aknowledgement letters. I can insert the actual appeal NAME, but then I have to go into each letter, erase the appeal name and write in the long description. The only appeal related thing I can find when setting up my merges is "Appeal List" which is obviously not working.

Any ideas? Am I overlooking something?

Here's a thought: when you are running Donor Acknowledgment Letters, on tab #2 (Fields to Include) are you choosing one letter per donor? Rather than one letter per gift, I mean.

If you do that, Appeal Description isn't a field you can choose -- gift amount is the only option they give you. If you do one letter per gift, Appeal Description is there. I'm not sure of the reasoning behind this, but I bet if you called they could explain it better.
