Just wondering...

• How often do you change your acknowledgement letters? Monthly? Yearly?
• If you are a school, do you add in the latest kudos for the school?
• For those in your organization that give via payroll deduction, at what point do you send a thank you? a receipt? any other acknowledgement letter?
• Do you handle those donors who give through EFT the same way?

If this has been brought up before, I apologize for being redundant. The search function and I weren't seeing eye to eye today.

We change our acknowledgment letters monthly.
We aren't a school, but our Executive Director writes a little story each time.

For all donors, we write an annual letter listing all donations in the tax year. For those giving by EFT we add a little line about "thankyou for your regular giving".

We are resuming our individual giving program this year after a 2 years hiatus and focusing on corproations. We have a standard letter that doesn't get changed very often, but I think we will start doing that now... Makes sense.

We are also launching an annual account review program that will see annual statements going to larger donors in our upper club levels. But hey - why not do the same thing for eveyone?

Now my wheels are just going like crazy!

We change our acknowledgement letters on a monthly basis.

For our payroll deduction, we acknowledge the employees first gift (and note that in the letter) and then sned them a letter and receipt at the end of each year.

Our EFT donors are handled as our payroll deductions are handled.

We review our standard letter quarterly. We have many special acknowledgement letters directly related to a fund or appeal. These are changed every time the event happens or the appeal goes out. We also have special letters for different types of giving - research, patient services, unrestricted. We have special tribute letters and often a special letter for an certain honoree.
