For those of you who are interested in finding out about BBDM or how to take your marketing to the next level, BBDM may be the thing for you. I think it is looking quite promising but I haven't got my hands on it yet!

We are working with BB to upgrade our current installation of TIE to the new BBDM. This project will begin ASAP as we need to have it completed by the end of the summer. As part of the process, BB will help us set up and post a Blog on the ongoing installation. When we have started the process, I will post a thread here to let interested parties know. From all that we have received and discussed with BB, this is going to be a rather intensive installation.
Another fact worth mentioning, the current TIE model is not going to be upgraded(per BB). They are moving all the developement to the new BBDM model. This means at some point everyone with TIE who wishes to continue using it will have to upgrade to the new model.
At this point, I dont know a lot about the new software except what we saw on a webex, but I will let you know when we get started on the project.

It was my understanding that the new BBDM module was only replacing the Segmentation portion of TIE. I understand that there are major changes coming to TIE, but that TIE will still exists as a separate module.

Oh.. yes . that is correct. ( I went back and read my emails) TIE (2.0)will ONLY be "Intelligence Reporting" though, not segmentation(which was the main reason we purchased TIE and had me confused) and is built on SQL 2005. So it depends on how you use TIE. IF you use the segmentation AND reporting, you will end up with 2 BB products, one for segmentation and one for reporting.
Also in this BB email: "There will probably be no future patches to TIE as they are working on the 2.0 version which is built on SQL 2005."
