I am having trouble in Mail Acknowledgement letters getting my merged letters to keep the top margin I am setting. It keeps growing upon merging.
Has anyone else had something happen like this. I once heard of a formula you can insert into a mail merge document to get it to retain formatting but I can't remember what it was or if it would help in this situation.
What actually looks funny is that thepage margin (according to the ruler) is still correct but the header has grown and there is absolutely nothing in the header (and I keep checking over and over).
I haven't had this issue; however, I have had other formatting issues. I don't know if they have any pertinence to your situation, but I'll share anyway. My acknowledgements are all done using a conditional merge. Whenever I add a new document, I assure that the formatting is exactly as I would like it in the most current letter and put that letter at the top. I know this sounds funny, but there is actually a knowledgebase article that suggested this. Prior to this, my merged letters did not hold the correct formatting.
Melissa, my page settings consist of setting the margins and setting the page layout to center the letter. This has always worked for me.
