The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation is seeking to fill the position of Gift Processing Administrator. This position will be responsible to maintain all manual gift entry transactions into donor database including gift adjustments as a result of program code changes, NSF checks, etc. Partners with accounting personnel to reconcile gifts on a daily and monthly basis as well as prepare sophisticated monthly gift reports, such as restricted gift report. Ensures well-coordinated, consistent and efficient gift reporting and communications with the Accounting Department. Job Requirements : Processes specific donations received via Komen’s stock broker, bank investment account and/or EFT. Protects sensitive financial information relative to donors Partners with accounting personnel to prepare daily and monthly reconciliation between General Ledger and donations database. Generates monthly reports based on the needs of the department. Reports could include department transfers, restricted funds, development campaign report and Cause Marketing fundraising activity. Prepares gift adjustment batches, including check requests and department transfers. Imports bank batches on a daily basis. Resolves errors and discrepancies; prepares daily batch reconciliation reports. Resolves coding issues relative to the sources of donations received via programs lockbox Acts as primary liaison to Foundation stock broker for matters of gift accounting. Processes gift batches as necessary. Performs other duties as assigned. Job Qualifications : High school diploma or equivalent, with some vocational, technical, business, or college studies. 3 – 5 years of direct experience in Accounting and/or gift processing within a not-for-profit environment. Requires intermediate to advanced MS Office computer software skills with the ability to develop reports, run queries, import and export data, and to perform basic end-user system administration. Strong analytical skills and detail orientation are essential. Preferred Experience : Some college or a bachelor’s degree preferred, with knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) a plus. Knowledge of CASE management and reporting standards also highly desired. Specialized Knowledge Preferred : Requires strong knowledge of donor database applications such as Donor Direct, Millennium, Raiser’s Edge, Advance, etc. Basic knowledge of common fundraising terminology a must.
