Title: Data Specialist/Administration Assistant Job Classification: Administrative Assistant Reports To: President/CEO Prevent Child Abuse America is seeking to hire an energetic Administrative Assistant to assist with the Advancement Department and the Administration Department. Prevent Child Abuse America is a national, non-profit organization working to prevent child abuse and neglect for our nation’s children. We achieve this mission by increasing public awareness about the issue of child abuse, conducting research in the arena of prevention, advocating for policies that support families and children, and providing training and technical assistance to prevention programs. Prevent Child Abuse America works closely with 40 state chapters, over 400 Healthy Families America (HFA) program sites and state leaders across the country. . RESPONSIBILITIES: • Data Entry: Gift processing/cash, check, credit card and donor acknowledgement reports, tracking donors, and record updates using Raiser’s Edge Software. • Acknowledgements: Responding to all donors, including the Honorary, Memorial, and National Board, as well as all gifts In-kind and all workplace Campaign Donors. • Reports: Responsible for all weekly and monthly donor/donation history reports, Board Giving/Getting, Solicitor reports, Blue Ribbon Ball, and other special events, donor profile, Annual Report, and Advancement Financial and Revenue. • Responsible for all Raiser’s Edge database changes and updates and general maintenance • Assist with monthly synchronization of database information (CONVIO) with Raiser’s Edge Software • Additional support for the annual Blue Ribbon Charity Ball In addition to working in the Advancement Department, this individual will also be spending one hour per day/five days per week assisting the President/CEO and the Director of Human Resources with various responsibilities including: scheduling, phone calls, general correspondence and special projects. Additional Qualifications: : College Degree preferred or equivalent work experience • All candidates must possess a high degree of energy and have a great work ethic. • Fund raising and/or non-profit experience preferred. • Must have a high quality of comfort with various software programs including Access, Word, Excel and the Internet. • Blackbaud’s Rasier’s Edge software experience preferred. • Must posse superior organizational and time management skills and have the ability to use independent judgment and to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment. • Must be deadline oriented and have the ability to handle multiple projects. • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skill. • Must posses the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with volunteers, donors, staff and national board members. • Knowledge of and/or commitment to child abuse and neglect prevention.
