Description
Responsibilities: The Development Systems Analyst is responsible for creating reports, running queries and keeping the database up-to-date and free of bad information in our fundraising software, Raiser’s Edge running on a SQL server. The successful analyst will be constantly seeking ways to improve the way the development department manages and uses information and will be the key individual for all development data. The successful candidate will be quick to recognize the importance of relationships between Bellarmine and all its constituencies. He or she will have absolute attention to detail and accuracy. The analyst needs to stay current with Raiser’s Edge software and will be capable of sharing knowledge about the database and its use with others in the department including volunteers as appropriate. The analyst works closely with the Gift Manager to prioritize all development projects. Although primarily responsible for creating reports as needed by staff and pulling information from the database, the analyst also serves as backup for gift processing as needed and works closely with the student fundraisers and events. Position does not require database maintenance or coding. Serves as department liason to the Technology Committee and the IT department. Qualifications: The successful systems analyst will be a self-directed individual of considerable energy who possesses exceptional planning and organizational skills and great attention to detail. It is essential that the analyst be able to multi-task and prioritize. He or she must be comfortable interacting with a diverse group of people and possess listening and problem-solving skills. The analyst must be a team player willing to help with other development department duties as necessary or assigned. He or she must be comfortable embracing the Jesuit philosophy and Catholic beliefs of the Bellarmine community. Complete competency with Raiser’s Edge software required. Experience with Crystal Reports a plus.College degree desired Computer skills and knowledge of related software such as Excel, Word required. Full-time, 12-month position.
