[supportingadvancement] Gift and Biographical Records Manager, CA

Gift & Biographical Records Manager, Office of Advancement, John F. Kennedy University, Pleasant Hill campus. The position is a regular, fulltime, non-exempt position.  Salary range: $14.43 - $16.96 per hour, 37.5 hours per week, schedule to be determined and includes vacation and sick leave benefits as well as a flexible benefit plan offering medical, dental, 401(k) retirement eligibility, dependent care, long term disability, voluntary life and/or long term care insurance and tuition waiver. The requirements for this position include: a high school diploma or GED (bachelor degree preferred); three to five years of complex office procedures; experience in gift processing, donor relations; skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities; the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; basic knowledge of accounting procedures; manage shifts in priorities with professionalism and handle information in a highly confidential manner. The Gift & Biographical Records Manager is also required to possess database management skills, computer data entry skills as well as the ability to use a personal computer and related software applications.  Experience with fund raising software--particularly Raiser's Edge--is desirable. The job responsibilities include: providing clerical and administrative support with institutional fundraising programs, coordinating activities regarding the solicitation and receipt of donor contributions and/or other fundraising activities; maintaining records and mailing lists and generating progress reports. Also responsible for confirming and follow-up on deposits, gift requests, matching gift contributors and credit card charges and maintenance of donor database files and records.  Help with special events as needed. The successful candidate will be professional, flexible and possess the ability to work well with a diverse, adult constituency.
