The Director, Report Development is under the direction of the Assistant Vice President, Donor Services, the Director Report Development is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate reporting of all biographical, financial, research and tracking data and has leadership responsibility for all dimensions of Foundation report development. The Director is a first level manager for report development staff with responsibility for making recommendations on hiring, firing performance evaluations, training, work allocation, and problem resolution; serves as the principal point of contact for the Foundation on all technical issues associated with custom report development; collaborates as appropriate with users and other members of the Database Administration staff in the structuring and development of reporting requirements: ensures the creation and maintenance of up-to-date Reporting Policies and Procedures; works collaboratively with the Director of the Database Administration and other members of the database team to identify and implement methods and procedures to enhance operations; maintains a broad knowledge of state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and/or systems and performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. ***NOTE*** This position is located in our Glendale, CA offices********* Qualifications: College degree required in business, accounting, computer science or a related filed proffered. Due to its special nature, this position requires an experienced professional with five to seven years of demonstrated experience designing, developing and testing Crystal reports using SQL Server relational database. Past report training experience and familiarity with system mapping and database conversion preferred. Management experience in a reporting environment required. Strong interpersonal skills, creativity, independent judgment and follow-through. Ability to organize time effectively and manage a large number of tasks simultaneously. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with various levels of internal and external constituencies.
