The Advancement Systems Analyst is directly responsible for the daily operation, management, performance, and maintenance of the alumni/advancement database at Pacific Oaks College and Children's School, which includes data entry, gift processing, database integrity, prospect management and research, reporting, data analysis, and system enhancements. The Analyst will develop and execute strategies for continuous quality improvement in services to and communication with departments and other institutional constituencies that utilize alumni, donor, prospect, and parent data. QUALIFICATIONS: *Bachelor's degree preferred *Prior experience, preferable in a higher education/nonprofit setting *Experience with Raiser's Edge or other Advancement management databases *Experience in prospect research and gift records management *Excellent computer skills; able to learn and adapt quickly to new software *Strong proofreading, spelling and editing skills and attention to detail *Knowledge of Internet research techniques *Strong organizational skills: able to prioritize and manage time *Strong analytical skills *Good judgment; able to maintain confidentiality *Able to work independently *Excellent interpersonal skills JOB FUNCTIONS: *Responsible for operating the alumni/advancement database (Raiser's Edge) for the Institution including data integrity, reports, all gift and demographic data entry, prospect management, and overall system upgrades *Develop and prepare research requests to provide data and analysis of prospect activities, interests, philanthropic engagement, and financial capacity for prospects and current donors *Create and manage the Raiser's Edge module of donors and prospects, including coordinating the input of donor and prospect data, gift data, call reports, and the generation of alumni and donor lists *Establish and maintain a systems user's manual with relevant sections to Pacific Oaks College and Children's School specific practices *Records and gift processing including: recording and receipting charitable contributions, in accordance with donor intent, Pacific Oaks College and Children's School policies, and adhering to the IRS rules and regulations governing contributions; generating of gift reports, and receipts; and preparing acknowledgement data in a timely manner *Perform other related duties as assigned by the Vice President for Advancement Don Cole Human Resources Pacific Oaks College 5 Westmoreland Place Pasadena, CA 91103 Fax: 626-683-7659
