The Database Manager / Development Assistant, reporting to the Development Director, will oversee and maintain Cornell Hillel’s donor database of over 8,000 records; process gifts and thank you letters; compile, organize and produce financial reports; and assist in creating and organizing all PR-related materials and development events. Responsibilities also include assisting in the creation and dissemination of direct mail solicitations, phonathons and newsletters/e-newsletters, with primary emphasis on the data preparation required for these activities. Part-time position for 25-30 hours/week, to begin August 15, 2006. Qualifications Candidates should be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as database management / fundraising software with an ability to handle sensitive donor information. Candidates must be detail-oriented, have strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills, and be able to multi-task and work in a team-oriented environment. BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience. Fundraising experience is preferred. Excellent people skills a must. Compensation commensurate with experience.
