Operations Director 1.0 FTE—full time—(37.5) hrs/week Salary: $30-$34K DOE Full individual vacation and benefits (health, dental, vision) Job Description The Korean Community Center of the East Bay was formed in 1977, its mission, to work with the Korean and other communities of the Bay Area through the provision of direct services, advocacy and the development of existing community based resources. Currently, KCCEB serves the community through its direct services: its citizenship/immigration program and its social service program, its youth leadership development program, its Korean domestic violence service and education program, and its Virtual Village faith-based organizing and education program. The agency currently has staff of 8. KCCEB seeks a highly motivated, detail oriented and self directed individual with good communication skills to fulfill the day to day operations duties that enable the agency and its program staff to effectively manage their work. The Operations Director works under the supervision of the Executive Director. Qualifications: Education: B.A. degree or equivalent experience Language: Conversational and Basic Written Korean Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Office and other software—Word, Excel, Access. Familiarity with Quickbooks pro a plus Some fundraising experience a plus High attention to detail Experience and/or equivalent education in accounting a plus Open mind and willingness to learn in a team environment Responsibilities Include: Financial/Accounting • Manage and maintain accounts receivable and payable • Work with E.D. to create a healthy financial environment for the agency • Manage and maintain staff reimbursements • Assist in creating financial reports • Assist E.D. in creating financial documentation for Board and funders Grassroots Fundraising • Work with ED, staff and board on design and production of KCCEB fundraisers (there are three to four per year—Annual Dinner, Summer Golf Tournament, Holiday Mailing, and a fall donor party) • Oversee and manage donor bases with attention to donor retention (Microsoft Access)
Personnel • Work with E.D. to develop, manage and maintain personnel policies, including health benefits, vacation time accrual, personnel files.
Filing/Documentation • Manage files for billing, proposal and program paperwork (billing, invoice, etc), taxes, audits, etc. • Assist Executive Director in financial documentation
Office Management • Maintain, track, and purchase office supplies for all programs • Deal with vendors and periodically do some “pricing” for better deals on various office equipment and services. • Sort and distribute the mail, answer and direct phone calls, manage incoming faxes, check Voicemail • Troubleshoot computer/IT issues as they arise
