Guide Dogs for the Blind, is seeking an Associate Data Manager, with proficiency in Raisers Edge or similar fundraising software to construct donor profiles identifying prospects and creates analytical reports to track donor response for use by Development staff. Key responsibilities of the position include data analysis and generation, development of forms, report management, and compilation of data files and systems to maximize their usefulness to Development’s needs. This individual will oversee report generation by Database Coordinator. POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Analytical Functions: · Provide custom analyses of donor base via statistical reports, donor grouping and donor profiles as needed. · Compile, analyze and distribute required data files for all direct mail fundraising efforts. Manage import of gift files. · Integrate data systems to produce all letters and install updated information into the database to be used for donor correspondence. · Perform monthly system audits to assure code accuracy. Data Processing Functions: · Perform or coordinate donations processing functions: Ø Receive, post and acknowledge all donations and reconcile related data entry activity against our records. Ø Insure timely and accurate entry of all donor related information into the database. Ø Prepare the daily donation revenue deposit. Ø Generate acknowledgement message for all donor gifts using the batching system to efficiently process and transmit receipt for every donation. Ø Insure accurate and timely acknowledgement of all “special handling” gifts (honor memorials, special mailings, etc.). Ø Guide others in fulfilling donations processing functions. · Manage all Electronic Funds Transfer scheduled gift postings and acknowledgements as well as employee payroll deductions. Manually or electronically perform regular online gift transaction exports to be used to import data into the Raiser’s Edge Database. · Synchronize the profiles which reside in the E-Marketing software with the Raiser’s Edge Database. Other Functions: · Maintain the Fundraising Database Procedures Manual by monitoring and entering additions and amendments as needed. · Coordinate solicitor assignments for all GDB donors in Raisers Edge to insure that solicitor performance reports are complete and accurate, and that the assignment of solicitors to new accounts is completed in a timely and appropriate manner. · Adhere to our organization's safety policies and procedures and encourage others to do the same. Promptly report incidents and accidents according to campus procedures. · Undertake other duties as assigned. POSITION REQUIREMENTS · Proficiency in Raisers Edge or similar fundraising software a must. · Advanced analytical skills, as evidenced by ability to construct complex queries and reports and to extract useful data from the database. · Knowledgeable on network operating systems and on Microsoft Office programs. · Able to manage multiple projects and priorities and to meet deadlines. · Good oral and written communication skills. · Able to handle extensive work at a keyboard. · High school diploma required. Some business school or college preferred. POSITION SPECIFICATIONS This full-time, exempt, position is required to work overtime and/or weekends during periods of peak production volume.
