Work with the Director of Development Research and Systems to anticipate user needs and to take the technical lead in recommending, designing & implementing systems. Lead programming staff to achieve a high standard of responsiveness to clients, problem-solving, programming accuracy, and timely service for the purposes of: Supporting the Institute's Resource Development enterprise, including a user community of close to 200 users, comprising of staff, senior officers, and volunteers. This support is given in the form of reports, system maintenance, system enhancements, and system integrity oversight. Supporting the Institute's Recording Secretary's office through programming and gift system maintenance. Collaborating with the Alumni Association on the administration and maintenance of hardware and software infrastructure. Develop and implement strategies for improving the quality and accessibility of alumni/ae, prospect, and donor information maintained in the Alumni Donor Information System (ADONIS). Serve as a senior technical member of the ADONIS management team, which oversees policies, procedures, and operations. Work closely with the Director of Technical Services in the Alumni Association as co-technical managers of ADONIS Keep abreast of developments in the industry for improving means of providing support, and ensure that skills of programming staff are commensurately up-to-date. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. 5-10 years technical leadership experience, including system design & application programming in an Oracle database & associated PC client software (preferably PowerBuilder) environment. Demonstrated proficiency as a project leader for a multiple-person project is required.
