Our database was converted a year ago by and expert in the field and works easily, as it was meant to be used. Job Description Raisers Edge Database Manager The Marin Agricultural Land Trust (MALT) is seeking an energetic and motivated individual to be part of our Development Department. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the leading land trusts in the country with a 27-year history of preserving farmland in Marin County, California. MALT has permanently preserved 59 farms and ranches on close to 40,000 acres of farmland in Marin County. The Database Manager is a part-time (60%) position responsible for maintaining and managing the Raisers Edge donor database, mailing lists, and related organizational databases; supporting and assisting the development program; providing database services to other departments and staff; and serving as a member of the development team. The Database Manager reports to the Director of Development. Location: Point Reyes Station, California Responsibilities キ Maintain and manage the accuracy and integrity of the Raisers Edge donor database and other databases maintained by the Development Department. キ Manage and support use of the donor database and mailing lists for all development programs and activities; prepare reports and analysis on all aspects of membership and development; provide donor database services (reports, analysis, mail lists) to other departments, programs and staff. キ Provide regular reports to the Development Director on membership, major donors, gifts and pledges. キ Reconcile fundraising records with accounting data in collaboration with Director of Finance, and produce any necessary reports for Annual Audit. キ Ensure that Raisers Edge processes are fully documented and updated as necessary. キ Keep Raisers Edge software fully updated and recommend upgrades as needed. キ Oversee gift data entry and review batches. キ Train MALT staff to centralize MALT information in Raiser痴 Edge.- Manage and track on-line donations as well as integrate online database with Raisers Edge.
キ Process gifts of stock and oversee processing and recording of credit card transactions. キ Working with the Development Director, respond to special donor requests to ensure a smooth receipt of gifts, pledges or pledge payments, and acknowledgements.- Perform such other duties as assigned.
Requirements- BA/BS from accredited college of university; three years or more related experience and/or training in non-profit fundraising preferred.
- At least two years using Raisers Edge software required, preferably as a Database Manager.
- Proficiency in Windows XP Pro, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Expertise in mail merges and understanding of web technology and standards.
- Demonstrated excellence in customer service; strong interpersonal, oral, and written communications skills
- Ability to create and manage systems effectively
- Self-starter who is comfortable working in a team-oriented setting and as part of a small office environment.
- Excellent organizational and management skills.
- Must be able to prioritize tasks, work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Commitment to strict confidentiality of donor information.
- Interest in and support of MALT痴 mission.
