Rep Power: 0  | Baltimore job - Raiser's Edge and Development Associate Organization Overview: Paul's Place exists to improve the quality of life in Washington Village/ Pigtown. Located in one of Baltimore's poorest urban neighborhoods, Paul's Place offers 22 programs and services to meet the needs of our low-income and homeless community members and to help them increase their self-sufficiency. Paul's Place recently completed a capital campaign to renovate our outreach center and increase program capacity. Position Overview: The Raiser's Edge Database and Development Associate is primarily responsible for gift processing and database management and providing administrative support for annual fundraising, events, and communications. The Raiser's Edge Database and Development Associate is also responsible for supporting the Director of Development, Executive Director, and volunteer fundraisers in donor cultivation and stewardship. The Development Associate reports to the Director of Development. Key Responsibilities:- Process all cash and in-kind gifts received, including data entry, donor acknowledgement, deposit slips, and daily deposit reports
- Prepare monthly donation and new donor reports and donor lists for annual report
- Maintain hard copy files of donor acknowledgements, daily deposit reports, and monthly donation and donor reports
- Oversee mailing of direct mail and communication pieces, including mailing list preparation, working with mail house and volunteer solicitors to ensure timely delivery and to avoid duplicate solicitation
- Assist in maintaining Paul's Place's website
- Provide support for all events, including mailing list preparation (with host committee volunteers), ticket sales and donation tracking, and event-day check-in/registration management
- Support donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship by preparing donor reports, updating donor records from contact reports, and preparing monthly donation reports for volunteer solicitors
- Send new donor welcome packet to all new donors
- Other duties as assigned by Director of Development
Qualifications:- Minimum of 2- 3 years administrative support or data entry experience, preferably for a non-profit
- Associate's degree in a business-related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency in database applications (Raiser's Edge preferred) and Word, Excel, and Publisher; proficiency in Dreamweaver or other web design software a plus
- Excellent organizational and planning skills; exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to set priorities, perform under pressure, adapt to changing requirements, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks
- Demonstrated initiative; ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Passion for serving low-income and homeless adults and children
