Manage Business Analysis staff and recruit personnel, as needed. Manage Business Analysis process within Development and look for ways to improve both the process and the overall SDLC. Work with Product Management and peers within Software Development to determine release plans and content. Develop reliable work estimates and project plans for BA tasks and manage to project plan. Define and document business and user requirements after thorough fact-finding and analysis of business workflows, user profiles, usage scenarios, business rules and system requirements. Translate business requirements into functional specifications, which thoroughly describe the solution from the perspective of the users of the system. Communicate user interface requirements and produce screen mock-ups to include in specifications. Produce, explain and clarify resulting specifications for stakeholders and project team members. Capture, track, analyze, and communicate requirement change requests, enhancements, and defects. Review and provide feedback on specifications, test cases and documentation produced by others within the development organization. Requirements: 3-5 years experience developing business requirements and functional specifications for software development. 3-5 years managing the process of developing business requirements and functional specifications including staff management. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills. Strong team interaction skills. Experience with user-centric analysis techniques. Proven track record in gathering and documenting quality business requirements. Proven track record in solving problems and building solutions. Experience writing thorough functional specifications that clearly describe functionality that meets stated objectives. User interface design experience, adhering to Windows and Web design standards. Basic understanding of the software development life cycle. Desired Skills: Knowledge of Higher Education industry. Knowledge of Advancement Services industry.
