Hi all,

Is there a way to get the system to generate some kind of notiofication that the pledge payment I am entering into the batch is the last one to fulfill said pledge? Obviously we'd like to send a different letter to these fine folks who follow thorugh on their committments.

I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for but if you're using queries in Mail to generate the letters, you could setup an ack ltr template to generate letters based on linked pledge balance = 0 and then exclude from your general letter query pledge payments where linked pledge balance = 0. does that make sense?

As long as pledge balance is one of you rmerge fields, you could also use an IF...THEN statement in Word to change the text based on the balance amount if you have small differences in the text. You could say something like "Your remaining balance on this pledge is $X" if the balance is greater than 0, and something like "This completes your obligation for this pledge and ..." if the balance is 0.
