I'm wondering if anyone has used online auction services out there. We are looking at Cmarket out of Boston. Anyone use them? Any tips, suggestions etc. for running or advertising an online auction?
I also heard eBay has a non-profit online auction section. Anyone use that?
Any and all information would be gratefully accepted!
I've worked with a company called Events.Org - They offer a broad menu of Event Management options - you can pick and choose. Before we had NetCommunity, we used them for online registration, online auction, and then night of check in, raffle sales and silent auction processing.
I was able to import my event attendees into the Events.org database, do all the data entry and run all the reports from there, and after the event was over - imported everything back in to RE. It had its bugs and quirkiness - as does every software application - but I found the support staff to be very helpful and responsive.
You can check them out at Welcome to Events.org!
We have used CMarket here with success. I liked the way we could have it reflect our theme for the event. Our event coordinator was a big fan and we will be using it again this year.
We are starting our second event auction soon and would be happy to answer any specific questions that you may have.
