Has anyone imported a budget that was spread by history? I'm new to this Financial Edge, GL and budget thing. I can see how to import a new budget that is manually spread over twelve months but the controller wants to spread by history.
Searching the Knowledge Base gives me a plethora of nothing.
Thanks

Not sure what you mean when you say spread by history. I import a budget every year - well actually two (project code and GL) It's always based on my fiscal year. Maybe you have to import many years of budgets?

Thanks for your response, Nora.
I want to use the same percentage spread over the months that were actual from last year. We ended up copying the budget from last year and changing the figures manually. But you have to do the percentage spread one at a time.

This year we built the budgets in Excel and imported them into FE. Once I input the yearly budget, I used a formula to distribute the amount over the twelve periods. Then used the Import in Administration to import the Excel file into FE.
