We used to require purchase orders for everything then stopped requiring them for anything. We would like to go back to using them judiciously. Does anyone have a policy for which purchases require a PO?
Thanks

If we turn in any request for a check it must be accompanied by a PO.
If the check is for reimbursement for out-of-pocket expenses the receipts are attached to a different reimbursement form, but it works basically the same way as to PO.
Every check must have back up documentation for the reason for cutting the check

We require a purchase order for any purchase over $200. Any purchase under $200 that needs a check requires a check request and a invoice and/or receipt.
