We just upgraded all of our desktops to Office 2007. I have been using Office 2007 with The Financial Edge for awhile now with no problems. However, after our upgrade very trivial things started causing the system to crash on our users' installations. For instance, hovering over a menu item with the mouse pointer. Some normal tasks have become unusable. The weird thing is that I have on my Windows Vista desktop with Office 2007 running no problem with The Financial Edge, so I know there's a way to get this to work on our desktops. In lieu of reverting our entire office back to Office 2003, has anyone had a similar experience and know of a workaround? Blackbaud support won't help me out on this because I have installed Office 2007.

I upgraded using RE and found some wierd things happening as well. The work around I found was using Outlook 2003 but 2007 for all of my other Office Applications. I spoke with support and they are almost complete with their testing. Lucky for me my husband is the IT guy so I get a little special treatment.

After much much much pain, I finally found a solution to my problem. Somehow The Financial Edge began referencing the incorrect gdiplus.dll file. There were about four different versions on our desktops. Replacing the dll file that FE was referencing with the correct version finally fixed the problem. Now whether or not that broke something else we will wait and see.
Could not figure out how to get FE to reference the gdiplus.dll it was supposed to be referencing in the blackbaud common libraries folder, or that would have been a better solution. But after working on it for a good eight hours, any solution is golden.
