The Centralized vs. De-Centralized Development Office: Deciding Which Approach is Rig

Session Level: Intermediate
Speaker: Cary Colwell
Session Description:
In this session, a former hospital foundation executive and fundraising consultant will focus on the advantages and disadvantages of operating a centralized or a de-centralized development office. You will learn when it becomes necessary to decentralize, how to allocate resources in a de-centralized office, when it's better to maintain a centralized office, and how to satisfy your diverse constituencies regardless of the choice you make. This session is designed for organizations that have multiple constituencies, e.g. colleges and universities, multi-specialty and multi-campus healthcare organizations, etc., or operate from multiple geographic locations.
