Which format should we use for our chat on the 23rd?

Do we want to have a record of it here, or have it disappear into the ether?

I'd like to be able to access it later - we won't be that nasty that the conversion should disappear or???

I'll be looking into the features of FlashChat to see if there is a logging option.

Okay, I want to say "thanks" for this, but I am not allowed (!) by the looks of things.

So, Capn, how would you suggest we show appreciation for a post or for work or assistance that someone has provided when it's not really a tip of the month?

Okay other than REP's.

Please, please I want to thank people (can't help it)

We'll stick to rep for that. There are a couple of different tools that I want to use for Tip of the Month, but they aren't publicly available. We'll give this one a shot and see how it goes.

If you can think of anything please share and I will do my best to make it happen.

Happy Tuesday All!
Just a reminder for anyone that is still around. We will be using the new chat feature that Peter so kindly set up.

Eastern: 2-4pm
Central: 1-3pm
Mountain: 12noon-2pm
Pacific: 11am-1pm
Alaska: 10am-Noon
Hawaii: 9-11am

I hope that I figured out the time differences correctly. If I missed your time zone please feel free to add it.

Can't wait to meet with you all later! (If I were in Alaska we'd already be meeting).

Darn it all, looks like I'm going to have to miss it. I was really looking forward to chatting with you all but I had a doctor's appointment that I had to schedule during that time. Carry on...carry on.

I think that's 7-9 pm this side of the pond. I don't think my wife would appreciate me spending the evening on the computer at home talking about Raiser's Edge! Never mind - have fun, folks.

There is no reason for you to spend all evening with us. But if you have a few moments this evening and would like to pop on to say Hi, we would warmly welcome you.

Have a Happy Monday!

Agenda

By no means is this a formal agenda, but I thought it would be nice to address breifly what the discussion will include.

I thought that it would be nice to address between us if there is anything in particular from the conference session you would like to discuss.

Also if there are any questions you have that you would like to discuss.
(ie-various department organization, input on how modules are used...)

And of course any good dish on those who are at the conference.

For those of you who wish I am going to have a transcript of the discussion available afterwards.

I think it was great. In the future we might consider having a chat about a specific topic/concern.

I thought it was good too. Katherine asked if there were any ideas for discussion, guess there weren't any! And we did discuss addr/sals with organizations...then got off topic a bit!
Next time, since it is during all of your work hours, some sort of "agenda" is probably feasible....but just keep in mind that off topics will occur, it's the nature of a chat, I think!!

Well, at least we got assembled... Blackbaud mentioned to us the possibility of having WebEx gatherings of forum members to discuss specific issues with them. There is nothing precluding us from doing the same kind of thing on our own. All we need to figure out is the infrastructure to do it.

All forum members who wished to participate or a select few who forum members selected? As I'm not a "client" per se, would I have the opportunity to join if I wished?
