Prepare to join us in beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia, for Blackbaud’s 2006 Canadian Conference on Philanthropy — to be held 12-13 June, 2006.
This year’s Canadian Conference is on the move to Vancouver, and the planning has already begun to make this event more exciting than ever. Enjoy the new conference location on Canada’s west coast, while attending sessions tailored to address the emerging technology issues of nonprofit professionals.
I wish I could be there! I got to TO last year but not enough in the budget

Sorry, Peter, but would be so interested in reading any highlights (or lolites ) that you could share upon your return.
For some of us in the east, it's just a bit too pricey for airfare etc. We're pretty small, and even when it was in TO last year, I didn't go.
Sniffle......
Hope you really enjoy it, and good luck with your session.

I was born with nothing, and I still have most of it.
Mrs and I successfully flew to Vancouver yesterday, and this thread will be a bit of a photo-diary of our trip.
On Saturday we got up really early, and headed to the airport
The view flying over the mountains was pretty
Once we made it to Vancouver, it was only 8:00am - to early to check into our hotel. We made it downtown and just wandered around for a while. I was really nice to be able to sepnd time with her where we didn't really need to be anywhere or do anything.
We encountered some local wildlife. There are bears all over downtown that have been painted by different artists:
We relaxed and enjoyed the sun
We did a lot of just watching the day go by, and enjoying the view
Finally it was time for us to go check into our hotel
The evening's activities are none of your business
Well, we also watched the hockey game, and the Oilers managed to redeem themselves with a 2-1 win over Carolina
More news as it happens!

Great pics! I'm still sad that that I can't be there.
Are the decorated bears for the Abilities Foundation? We had Lobsters all over our city last year, corps paid to decorate, they were displayed all summer long and then auctioned off at a gala in Sept. We had tourists all over having their pics taken.
Yours truly's pic was even on CIBC's pink ribbon Run lobster!

The conference is going well so far. 2 sessions down and they were full of great info. The tricky part is going to be figuring out just how to apply all this stuff and convincing the powers that be that some more tools are NECESSARY for us to accomplish our fundraising goals.
